The recent comments by Dr. Andre Lalonde about Sarah Palin's choice to bear a Down syndrome child do not surprise me.
Canada has no laws at all restricting abortion. A recent Private Members Bill which would have made it possible to lay criminal charges if an unborn baby was harmed during the commission of a crime, has died.
Even the Conservative Party will not touch this matter.
Ironically, the formerly Roman Catholic Provice of Quebec has the highest abortion rate of all Canadian Provinces, but the others are catching up.
Really sad
